Example: nine UGC videos for an Amman skincare brand

FluenceHire team ·

A small skincare brand in Amman needs fresh videos for its Instagram ads. It hires three UGC creators on FluenceHire for three videos each at JOD 150 per creator, pays JOD 504 including the 12% fee, and agrees paid-ads use as an add-on. In this example, the best UGC video gets a higher click-through rate than the brand's studio ad.

The goal

"Dew Lab" (a made-up brand) sells a vitamin C serum online in Jordan. Its studio ads look polished but get few clicks. It wants real-looking videos to test in Instagram ads.

The brief

  • Format: 9:16 videos, 20–30 seconds, Jordanian Arabic
  • Angles: morning routine, before/after texture close-up, "why I switched"
  • Must: show the bottle in the first 2 seconds, no medical claims
  • Deliverables per creator: 3 videos, 1 revision round

Choosing creators

For UGC, follower count matters less than how well someone talks to camera. The brand picks three creators with small accounts and strong talking videos.

Agreement, rights and payment

Each creator agrees JOD 150 for three videos. Because the videos will run as ads, paid-ads use is agreed as an add-on in the chat and written into an amendment both sides sign. The brand pays:
- 3 × JOD 150 = JOD 450
- 12% service fee = JOD 54
- Total: JOD 504

Example results

The brand tests all nine videos as ads for a week. In this example:
- Two videos beat the studio ad on click-through rate
- The best one, a "why I switched" video, becomes the main ad
- The brand books two of the creators again for the next month

What to copy

  • Brief different angles, not nine versions of one idea
  • Agree paid-ads use before running the content as ads
  • Judge UGC on ad results, not on the creator's followers
